Rural Schools Foundation
The mission of the African Rural Schools Foundation
is: to upgrade the literacy, economy, health and well-being
of African citizens by providing affordable schools for
disadvantaged children in rural areas and emotional support
for students who are affected or orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgendered persons, their families and
friends through: SUPPORT, to cope with an adverse society;
EDUCATION, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and ADVOCACY,
to end discrimination and to secure civil rights PFLAG
provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation
and gender identity, and acts to create a society that
is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

Serenity
Pittsburgh
Serenity Pittsburgh is an annual conference hosted
by glbt members of AA and AI-Anon. The conference provides
a sober environment for celebration and enhancement of
life in recovery for anyone affected by alcoholism. A
series of speakers, a wide range of workshops, and fun
events focusing on a life style of recovery are offered.

PEACE LINKS is a volunteer movement that strives for a safer
world for our children by empowering women to work towards
abolishing nuclear weapons, educating children and families
in conflict management skills and linking with women and men

Helping Hands - Healing Hearts is a volunteer organization
formed in 2004 to promote quality hospice and palliative
care for children with life-threatening conditions.
Our goal is to enable families and health care professionals in
southwestern Pennsylvania to provide the best possible quality
of life for very ill children and their families.

Coalition
The purpose of the Southwestern Pennsylvania AIDS Planning
Coalition (SWPAPC) is to serve as a regional network of organizations
and individuals, whose mission is to assess, define, plan for,
stimulate development of, and evaluate comprehensive systems
of high quality prevention, education, and care services which
respond to the HIV epidemic and to persons with or affected
by HIV / AIDS within the region.

Consumer Advisory Board of SWPAPC
The Consumer
Advisory Board was created to empower people living with
HIV/AIDS to actively participate in the decisions made regarding
allocation of funding of AIDS service organizations in the
eleven counties of the Southwestern Pennsylvania AIDS Planning
Coalition region.

Renaissance City Choirs
The Renaissance City Choirs is a non-profit organization composed
of the Renaissance City Men's Choir, the Renaissance City Women's
Choir, and small ensembles. The choir's mission is to be a
leading artistic organization representing Pittsburgh's gay,
lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, building bridges
within the GLBT community and the greater community as an interactive
contributor to the cultural life of the tri-state area.
The RCC project ended up being 4 different sites. This screen
shot represents the main page of the Choir's joint site. There
is also a "Members Only!" site (password protected)
where members of the choir can get the newsletter, view a directory
of members, and share photos of choir functions and other information.

Morning Light (A SAMHSA Project)
The Southwestern Pennsylvania AIDS Planning Coalition (SWPAPC)
has initiated a project funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for Faith-Based Organizations/Churches
to assess the need, plan and build capacity for HIV/AIDS and/or
substance abuse prevention initiatives in the African-American
community.
